Jobstreet Confirms Massive Malaysian Data Breach

Online job portal Jobstreet had begun informing their clients that they might have been affected by the recently reported data breach that hit 19 different companies and millions of Malaysians.

3,883,455 JobStreet accounts had been compromised according to breach verification website HaveIBeenPwned.

Organizations such as the Academy of Medicine Malaysia, the Malaysian Dental Association, the Malaysian Medical Association, and the National Specialist Register of Malaysia had also been affected, as well as major telecommunication companies.

Malaysian Communications Minister Salleh Said Keruak said that the MCMC may have already found the source of the leak, and it is already in the process of completing their investigation.
