31 Jul Irish Company Mr. Parker Informs Customers of Potential Data Breach
Ireland — Last Thursday, trusted parking service company Mr. Parker informed customers that their system might have been breached after a service outage that occurred in the same day.
Following the said outage, the team caught what seemed to be a suspicious software in their server. Private information such as mobile numbers, addresses, car registrations ,and driver’s licenses may have been exposed during the incident.
Despite the potential threat, the company stated that they do not think any data was leaked. The company assured customers that their passwords were encrypted, as well as their credit card details since these data is stored in the provider’s encrypted payment server.
The Irish parking company runs by enabling customers to schedule and pay their parking service through text messaging, app use, and online engagement. It provides services to many customers in Irish Rail car parks and 300 Luas.
