India’s Andhra Pradesh Adopts Blockchain for Citizen Information Protection

Even though the country is still hesitating to adopt cryptocurrencies, India is not completely shying away from using blockchain technology.

Earlier this week, it has been reported that Andhra Pradesh (AP), will be partnering with blockchain security company WiseKey, in an initiative that seeks to manage the sheer volume of citizen data of India’s seventh largest state.

WiseKey’s app, WiseID, will use a public blockchain system to give users freedom to protect their information, while staying in line with protocols set by the Indian government.
