18 Apr Ikea’s TaskRabbit Hit with Possible Breach
Ikea revealed earlier this week that its odd jobs marketplace, TaskRabbit, may have been involved in a data breach and its app and website had to be temporarily shut down.
The company said that they are currently investigating the incident with authorities and urged users to change their passwords. Ikea added that workers who had not been able to complete their jobs on April 16th would still be compensated appropriately.
The app, which was bought by Ikea from an individual developer in 2008, helps users find freelancers willing to engage in tasks such as household cleaning, gardening and others.
