16 Jul Identity of Swedish Security Firm CEO Has Been Stolen and Proclaimed Bankrupt
CEO of Swedish Security Company Securitas, Alf Göransson unfortunately had his identity stolen by the end of March, according to a report last Thursday. He was declared bankrupt this week following the incident.
In a statement made by Securitas, it happened when a unknown person applied for a loan under Göransson’s name. Without his knowledge, the attacker used his ID to get a loan in an unspecified amount.
The Stockholm District Court proclaimed Göransson bankrupt on Monday without notifying him of its ruling. On Wednesday, the CEO requested to have the decision reversed.
The incident did not affect Securitas and their CEO was declared bankrupt. However, the event meant that the Swedish Companies Registration Office had to remove Göransson as the company’s President and CEO. The office is currently working to restore his registration.
