30 Aug Hackers Breach Swedish Web Hosting Loopia
Last week, major Swedish hosting company Loopia announced that their systems have been breached by hackers and that customer data may have gotten leaked.
In a statement on their website, Loopia informed customers that they will be doing a system-wide password reset. They added that while personal and contact information, as well as encrypted passwords, have been compromised, credit card details, hosted sites, and email services were kept safe.
The company explained that they had to secure their systems before publicly announcing the breach, which is why they sent out the notification three days after the incident.
