Firefox 59 Introduces Privacy Upgrades

Mozilla recently announced that its newly released Firefox 59 for PC, Mac, and Android devices will feature a number of privacy and security upgrades.

Users can now access new settings in the preferences menu to prevent websites from sending permission notifications to access the device’s camera, microphone, and location which most users regard as an irritation when browsing the web. Trusted websites, however, will still be allowed to use these features.

The new Firefox will also reduce the amount of information websites pass on about visitors by removing path information from referrers to prevent cross-site tracking. This will result to greater privacy when using Private browsing mode.
