27 Aug Fake Singapore Airline Email Promises Free Tickets
Fake emails claiming to be from Singapore Airlines have recently been spotted to be in circulation.
Singapore Airlines have confirmed that recently there had been a number of scammers pretending to be representatives of the company who are contacting their customers. The scammers are even able to modify their caller ID to use the airline’s official telephone numbers. Aside from these, phishing websites that look very similar to SIA’s official website are being spread.
The scam tactics often approach customers about free tickets for the airline’s 70th anniversary.
SIA is encouraging the recipients of the fake emails to make a report on their website.
