30 Jun Fake Order Emails Target Amazon Users
A number of phishing emails in circulation that seeks to extract personal and banking information from Amazon shoppers have been reported.
The scam works by sending Amazon users a genuine-looking email from the company that alerts the user of problems with a recent order. The user is then instructed to login, otherwise the account will be locked and future purchases will not be allowed. It will then redirect to a page that looks very similar to Amazon where the user is asked to enter sensitive information.
The scam email can be reported to Amazon on their page.
