Facebook to Give Users More Control Over Personal Data

Facebook announced last Wednesday that it will be redesigning the settings menu on its platform to give users more control over their privacy.

The company also promised to make changes to its terms of service and data policy that will give users a better understanding of what information is collected from them and how it is used.

Facebook chief privacy officer Erin Egan and deputy general counsel Ashlie Beringer said that the company has listened to feedback regarding its privacy settings and other important tools, and will be working to keep its users better informed.
