27 Mar Facebook Questioned for Collecting Android Call, SMS Information
In the midst of its privacy scandal involving Cambridge Analytica, Facebook had been questioned anew for pulling user call and text data from Android devices.
A number of users have already reported discovering that Facebook kept a log of contact names, telephone numbers, call duration and texts, even those not made through the app.
Facebook however, responded last Sunday that it only collects such information from users who have opted-in. The company added that the data, which is only used to improve their services, is uploaded to secure servers and is never sold to anyone else.
