05 Apr Facebook Confirms Bug Prevented Users from Deleting Video Drafts
Facebook confirmed this week that discarded video drafts made by users had not been deleted due to a bug and assured the public that it had already addressed the problem.
New York Magazine discovered last week that discarded video drafts which were thought to be deleted were still being kept by Facebook, to the alarm of users still reeling from the social network’s latest privacy scandal.
Others have pointed out that this is just a small part of the data that Facebook keeps on its users. It has also been publicized over Twitter recently that the firm had been keeping detailed call logs on the devices of Android users. Facebook had been criticized for such features even though the company had already explained that users have to opt-in before such a feature is activated.
