07 Apr Facebook Confirms 2.7 Million Europeans Involved in Privacy Scandal
Last Friday, the European Commission confirmed that the data of around 2.7 million European users had been misused in the privacy scandal involving Facebook and Cambridge Analytica.
This is according to the letter sent to them by the US social network, who also clarified this week that around 87 million users around the world had their data scraped by the political analytics firm, as opposed to the 50 million initially reported by Reuters.
The EU executive also said that Facebook also explained the steps they are taking in response to the issue.
