10 Oct Employees Sue Morrisons Over Personal Data Leak
UK supermarket chain Morrisons is being sued by thousands of its employees who has had their personal details leaked online.
The data breach was carried out in 2014 by an auditor from the Bratford head office named Andrew Skelton, who was said have wanted to inflict “real damage” to the company.
The lawsuit filed by the 5,518 employees claimed that the leak has left them exposed to identity theft and potential financial loss. Morrisons however, denied any liabilities.
