Dynepic Releases SDK for Instant Child-Privacy Law Compliance

Charleston-based tech startup Dynepic Inc. released this week a suite of software development kits (SDK) called playPortal Studio which can be used to build apps, games, and connected toys that are instantly compliant with child privacy laws.

The company says that apps built with the playPortal SDK are instantly compliant since they will not collect, store, or share any personal information on their users. Instead, they will associate the user’s personal app data against their playPORTAL secure profile via a non-persistent identifier. Real-time analytics and play data needed for continued engagement and monetization can then be accessed through the playPortal Studio.

The company claims that their SDK platform will address the complex data privacy and security requirements imposed by COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) which says that apps need to to obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal data on young users.
