07 Sep Data Protection Regulation Law May Be Passed in India
It was announced last Wednesday that a committee which will deliberate on India’s data protection issue has been set up.
The Centre also told the Indian Supreme Court that a law may be evolved soon after the committee, to be chaired by former apex court judge Justice B.N. Srikrishna, submits a report.
The report will determine the result of the privacy case against WhatsApp where the messaging platform is being accused of sharing user data with Facebook and other parties.
