04 Apr Data of Millions Exposed in Panera Bread Breach
Security researcher Brian Krebs revealed last Monday that data belonging to around 7 millions of Panera Bread customers had been exposed for as long as eight months.
Information including names, email addresses, physical addresses, dates of birth, loyalty card numbers, and the last four digits of credit card numbers were left publicly available on the US bakery chain’s domain PaneraBread.com.
It is said that the company had already been notified back in August 2017, but the company did not act on the issue until it became public. The website was reportedly taken down temporarily this week, and Krebs says that the exposed data seems to have been locked down.
