The Government Digital Service (GDS) has announced a security breach affecting data.gov.uk accounts.
According to a GDS spokesperson: usernames, emails, and hashed passwords were compromised but personal names like names and addresses were kept safe.
As precaution, the next time a registered user sign in, they will be required to change their password.
