Cyber Attack Hits Payment Kiosk Avanti

Avanti Markets, a self-service food kiosk vendor across the US is one of the latest victims in the recent wave of cyberattacks. Hackers breached the company’s internal networks by pushing a malware out of the payment devices to get the customer’s personal information. The malware attack was discovered on July 4, 2017. The affected kiosks may have compromised client’s information credit card details and even biometric data.

Another similar attack is detailed in a blog post by Risk Analytics, identifying the Point-of-Sale malware called “PoSeidon aka FindPoS” that collects credit card information from PoS devices.

The company acknowledged the Avanti warned their clients about the data breach on their site.
