15 Sep Comey Violated Privacy Act According to White House Press Secretary
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, US White House Press Secretary said that James Comey, former FBI director, have clearly violated federal laws when he leaked a memo involving his conversations with US Republican President Donald Trump.
A violation of the Privacy Act was cited by Sanders at a press briefing, saying that the memo leaked, regardless of classification, was made on an FBI computer while Comey was still FBI director.
In June, Comey said that after his termination, he provided a memo that summarizes his meeting with president Trump to a friend who could then give it to the press.
