Chip Implants Gain Popularity in Sweden

A recent report revealed that around 4000 Swedes have had microchips implanted in their hands to speed up their daily routines.

Chipping companies such as Biohax International, which currently dominates the market, say that they are having difficulty keeping up with the number of requests for chip implants.

Biohax co-founder Jowan Osterlund said that the chip gets rid of the need to carry around different cards and tokens used for identity verification. He adds that the chip aims to streamline the life of people who are already hyper-connected with their surroundings.
