Apple Now Using Google for iCloud Services

Apple confirmed in the latest version of its iOS Security Guide that it is using Google’s cloud services for storing iCloud services data.

Apple had previously used Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, but was noted to have shifted to Google’s Cloud Platform without much announcement. The new security guide merely says that the encrypted chunks of the file are stored, without any user-identifying information on third-party storage services.

Both Apple and Google have yet to issue comments on the matter.
