29 Sep Apple Launches “Privacy” Website
After receiving somewhat mixed reactions to the iPhone’s Face ID, Apple launched a page on their website dedicated to providing privacy and security information to their users.
Apple’s privacy page includes information on the security features of their software and hardware, and tips on how to set up Touch ID and complex passwords on the iPhone. Information on messaging encryption and differential privacy, a feature used to anonymize collected data from users can also be found on the page.
The company also published a message to its users, emphasizing that all their products are designed to protect information. Some jabs at their competitors were also dealt, with Google Maps in particular, which requires users to sign in unlike its Apple counterpart.
