01 Jul 18million accounts from 8Tracks Database leaked
An employee of 8Tracks, a social music streaming site, accidentally leaked data on 18 million accounts.
However, the company re-assured its users that the passwords have been ‘salted and hashed’ but nevertheless, advised users to change and not re-use old passwords.
Accounts that have been created through Google and Facebook were not part of the leak.
